This new CD by gifted composer Santiago Fernández offers powerful and uplifting music in Spanish for worship, prayer and listening. His 12 great songs feature contemporary styles, with outstanding performances that feature Grammy and Academy Award winning musicians and singers. Born out of the artist’s personal experiences and reflections, each song has a unique personality and story behind it. Most of the original texts are Scripture based, and the music creates a unique sonic tapestry, ranging from softer and more intimate sounds to songs that feature mainstream, infectious Latin rhythms. Well known for his work in Hispanic ministry, Santiago created this music for the benefit of Hispanic Christian communities everywhere. He wrote the songs to have simple, accessible melodies and arrangements—well within the reach of most musicians—yet profoundly meaningful and emotional. The guitar/vocal songbook includes interesting insights and inspiring commentaries by Santiago. Ven y Sígueme delivers the message of love, hope and salvation that the world needs today… it is a one-of-a-kind musical and spiritual experience!
