Eazy Avenue is the latest
release from singer/songwriter Robert James. Robert was born and
raised in the Detroit area. Robert's mother & father came
to Michigan from Tennessee to work in the auto industry.
Having spent considerable time in both states exposed Robert to
a wide variety of music. As a child he listened to his parents
collection of country albums. Most notably: Roy Acuff ,Hank Williams
and Kris Kristofferson. As a teenager, Robert listen to
his older sisters recordings of Bob Seger, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and
Bruce Springsteen. At 15 Robert learned how to play guitar and
immediately started to write songs. "Eazy Avenue" embraces all
the influences of Robert's childhood. Songs such as "Lucy's In
Love", and "Save Me From Myself", have strong country influences.
While "Eazy Avenue" and "Lucky Me Lucky You", pull from his
blues influences. Robert's songs have been featured on national
radio programs such as "Radio Lia" and "after midnight with Blair
Gardner". "Eazy Avenue" was produced by Robert and Kenny Parker
and features some of the top musicians in Detroit.
